The Prince George’s County Department of Corrections is currently seeking qualified applicants to fill a Personnel Specialist, grade Q18/21, in the Human Resources Division.
About the Position
This is an entry dually allocated professional position where the incumbent performs various tasks in the Human Resources Division. The incumbent will manage employee personnel files, administer compensation plans, and use Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS). The incumbent will perform work tasks in accordance with applicable policies and procedures, to include Standard Operating Procedures, Administrative Procedures and Personnel Law under the general supervision of the Personnel Section Chief. The incumbent will also handle personnel functions, such as onboarding, processing promotions and temporary work assignment details, and facilitating performance management review processes. The incumbent will also act as a liaison between the Department of Corrections and the Office of Human Resources Management, the Office of Management and Budget, and the Office of Finance and Payroll Division.
