We are a facility full of passionate animal lovers looking for like-minded individuals to join our pack. The Barking Dog is a full-service, resort experience for Exeter’s dogs and their parents. We offer daycare, boarding, grooming, and retail. Our pack takes pride in our work by conducting and holding ourselves to an extremely high standard of customer care and dog safety.

What is expected:
The Pet Care Assistant is an integral member of the Pet Services Team. Pet Services is responsible for the health, safety, and comfort of our guests. This position supports all areas of the resort. This role directly works in the resort space of Dog Boarding and Daycare. The Pet Care Assistant's duties include cleaning boarding spaces, dishes, laundry, individual dog play sessions, walking dogs, along with other tasks around the pet resort. Your hard work will be rewarded with plenty of animal snuggles, cuddles, kisses, and cuteness.
We are hiring for part-time. Weekend and Holidays are required. Shifts could fall anytime between 6am-7pm. The ideal candidate is available at least 2 shifts per week, with a minimum of one weekend day. This position is great for someone looking for an active side job with animals or someone looking for a start in the pet care industry.

• Move throughout the resort for up to 6 hours
• Being able to lift and move 40 lbs.
• Understand and respond to team members’ and guests’ requests in a loud environment
• Bend, stoop, and reach in order to run and load dogs, serve customers, and clean the resort

Requirements:
• Must be dependable and committed to excellent attendance.
• Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced, team environment, and multi-task well
• Must be comfortable caring for and cleaning up after our dog and cat guests
• Must be at least 18 years of age
