Job Classification:Investment Management - Portfolio ResearchWhat you will doThis will be an Associate level quantitative analyst working as part of the ABS credit research team within the public and private Securitized Products Group of PGIM Fixed Income ($118bn assets under management)
The successful candidate will work closely with the ABS research and ABS portfolio management teams to help formulate ABS strategy and help monitor the ABS portfolio
The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing transaction collateral, assigning internal credit ratings, reviewing transaction documentation packages, communicating with investment banking teams, working closely with portfolio management and other internal colleagues to determine investment suitability and relative attractiveness, conducting surveillance on existing investments, and following industry trends.What you can expectDevelop and implement statistical models for investing in structured products using SAS, Python, R, and C++Provide quantitative and qualitative research used to price investments in the US.Constructed multi-variate linear, logistic, and cox models to predict prepayments and defaultsCreated default models for loans using machine learning techniques such as feature selection, random forest, etc.,What you will bring3-5 years of experience in the securitized products markets (MBS, ABS, etc)Experience generating collateral performance assumptions, evaluating credit risk and/or negotiating deal termsFamiliarity with ABF/ABS issuers, intermediaries, and investorsUnderstanding of database structures and ability to query databasesSolid capabilities in fixed income mathematicsComfortable running bonds through IntexKnowledge of SQL and TableauWorks well as part of a team and enjoys a fast paced, high intensity environmentAdvanced degree (MS, MA, or PhD) in a quantitative field (science, math, finance or engineering).What will set you apart?Ability to construct end-to-end prepayment and credit default modelsPossesses strong communication and presentation skillsPossesses strong attention to detail and excellent creative and technical skillsPGIM welcomes all applicants, even if you don't meet every requirement

The salary range for this role is from $165,000 to $175,000
