Concordia University Wisconsin School of Pharmacy (CUWSOP) invites applications for one full-time faculty position in the Department of Pharmacy Practice, focused in Population Health Pharmacy Practice, and based on the Mequon campus. In affiliation with Marshfield Clinic (MC) and utilizing remote technology, the faculty member will work as a member of the MC Clinical Pharmacy Services (CPS) team. The faculty member will spend 40% of their time practicing as a member of the MCCPS with quarterly visits expected to the MC health-system campus in Marshfield, WI. As student involvement on the MCCPS team grows, an additional 10% of time will be allocated to managing and coordinating student efforts. Based on the strengths of the practitioner, practice time may include, but not be limited to, functions related to:
- Drug Use Evaluation
- Guideline and Policy Development
- Targeted Interventions via electronic health record initiatives
- Drug Information Questions
- Direct Patient Care (via phone or video) for services addressing heart failure, neurology and comprehensive |
medication reviews
Teaching effort will focus on:
- Population health related lectures and labs in the curriculum
- Coordinating projects for students with an interest in population health and serving rural patients
- Applied Patient Care Series teaching support
- Electives per interest as developed by the faculty member
- Experiential teaching based on student assignments to the MCCPS team
Scholarship in the areas of practice, teaching, or another area relevant to the candidates' experience and interest will be expected. Service in the School, University, and the profession is expected. Specifically, this position is seeking someone to fill an advising role assisting student groups with volunteer initiatives at community-based free clinics.
In order to be considered for the position, a candidate must have a Doctor of Pharmacy degree and a residency and/or fellowship or equivalent training. The candidate must be eligible for licensure as a pharmacist in Wisconsin if not already licensed in Wisconsin. Excellent written and oral communication skills are required. Although not required, preference may be given to candidates who have demonstrated dissemination of scholarship and have experience in academia. For credentialing and privileging purposes at MC, this position requires board certification in a pharmacy specialty OR attainment of board certification in a pharmacy specialty within three years of hire.

Compensation and Benefits
This is a full-time, faculty, exempt position. Salary and academic rank will be commensurate with qualifications, education, and experience.
