Tri-Valley Pharmacy is seeking a pharmacist with strong leadership, teamwork and customer service skills to be our next Pharmacist Manager. We are a progressive pharmacy with a keen eye on current and future industry trends seeking a pharmacist with the imagination to embrace our vision and lead our team into the future.
In addition to strong management and leadership skills a successful candidate will have an understanding of Medication Therapy Management, immunization programs, Star Ratings, DME, Medicare billing requirements and other quality initiatives promising increased patient health, satisfaction, and loyalty.
*Essential Functions*
* Counseling and answering patients medication and health-related questions
* Assisting patient selection of OTC medications, vitamins, herbals and DME items
* Ensures all prescriptions are processed in a timely, accurate manner, and in accordance with organization and industry standards
* Ensures department compliance with all state and federal pharmacy and drug laws
* Maintaining and managing Control Substance as well as general pharmacy inventory
* Supervision of a strong team of technicians
* Provide educational opportunities for staff training and development
* Sets an example of personal integrity, appearance, and ethical business practices which provides a standard of conduct for all personnel
* Oversees and participates in existing programs to ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, growth, and objectives
* Participates in development of business plans, scopes of service and implementing them to achieve continued growth and financial stability
* Contribute ideas and recommendations for departmental and company improvements including identification of additional market opportunities through conversations with patients, sales personnel and professional literature
*Required Skills and abilities*
* License to practice pharmacy in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
* License to administer injectables in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
* Experience: 3+ years in a retail pharmacy environment
* Excellent oral communication skills including grammar, positive tone, portrayal of confidence, empathy, and active listening
* Excellent written communication skills including spelling, logical thought, sentence construction, and appropriate word choice
* Excellent organization and workflow prioritization skills
* Strong PC and internet skills
