Responsibilities:The incumbent provides timely, accurate, and complete pharmaceutical care which includes reviewing medication orders, performing appropriate clinical interventions with prescribers, and providing drug information. Demonstrates competency in patient care for patient population served. The incumbent will also effectively maintain control of daily pharmacy operations and supervise personnel.
- Investigates and completes Medication Event Report
- Follows High Risk Medication policies & procedures including appropriate documentation
- Effectively maintains control of daily pharmacy operations and supervises personnel
REQUIRES:
- Current California pharmacist license.
- Demonstrated knowledge of pharmaco-therapeutics, therapeutic drug monitoring and therapeutic interventions, pharmaceutical supplies, drugs, chemicals and biologicals, federal and state regulations relating to pharmaceutical transactions, pharmacokinetics, supply management and inventory control.
- Demonstrated ability to enforce formulary decisions of the medical staff, maintain accurate and complete records, provide instruction and preceptorship on the subject of pharmacotherapeutics, its use and application. Effectively communicate, both written and verbal.
