Pharmacy Business Analyst - Per Diem - Days

The Pharmacy Business Analyst supports the system pharmacy department in maintaining policies and procedures, audits, reporting, information management, billing and other departmental support as it pertains to the financial integrity of medication management.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Is familiar with the 340B policies and procedures to ensure compliance at Cayuga Medical Center and Schuyler Hospital.
- Participates with the compliance pharmacist in the training and educational efforts that support 340B program oversight
- Involved in 340B and other financial audits.
- Monitors, reports, and analyzes Cayuga Health System's Contract pharmacy 340B activities.
- Develops and maintains reports that audit the pharmacy's financial performance as it relates to pharmacy billing, revenue, and other pharmacy operations.
- Conducts validation of data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Tracks financial impact over time, identify root causes of adverse trends, and make recommendations to improve the programs' financial stability.
- Responds to data requests from other pharmacies that support clinical, regulatory, and financial best practices.
- Demonstrates proficiency with the hospital information system, third party split billing software, wholesale software and other related software.
- Analyzes invoices, ordering, and inventory processes.
- Assists system pharmacy director in interpreting drug spend analytics.
- Assists system pharmacy director in preparing system pharmacy budget.
- Compliance with the requirements for working remotely is expected.
- Is flexible in assuming other appropriate responsibilities not noted above.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in business-related major, e.g., accounting, finance, preferred.
- Experience - 3 years' experience in hospital finance, 340B management preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Repetitive use of hands and fingers (e.g., use of computer keyboard); may require lifting and carrying light loads (up to 40 lbs.), including boxes, equipment, and IV solutions and stooping and kneeling (e.g., to pick up items from the floor, to remove and replace items on lower shelves, and to file documents in lower file drawers); sitting, walking, or standing for long periods of time (4-8 hours) is often necessary; must be able physically to operate the equipment used for the job.
Location and Travel Requirements:
- Remote
- Shift - 1-2 Days per week
Pay Range Disclosure
- $37.02 to $42.31 per hour
