Virtus Healthcare Staffing is actively searching for a highly motivated and experienced Pharmacy Director on behalf of our partner, a leading Level III trauma center in Lewiston, VT. This role is critical to ensuring the delivery of top-notch pharmaceutical care to patients across various age groups.
Key Responsibilities:
- Led and managed a pharmacy department with 19 direct reports, including Pharmacists, an Oncology Pharmacy Manager, and Pharmacy Technicians.
- Oversee the preparation and dispensing of 60,000-80,000 doses per month.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, and state, and federal regulations.
- Drive accountability and foster a collaborative, transparent working environment where staff members feel appreciated and empowered.
- Direct initiatives that enhance patient care and operational efficiency, such as developing a Pharmacy Diabetes Program and rebuilding the Pharmacy Module within the EHR.
- Develop and implement quality policies and procedures that align with best practice standards.
- Oversee the transition of remote pharmacy services from Medi-star to Pipeline.
Mandatory Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited College of Pharmacy.
- Licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Idaho.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Minimum of five (5) years of hospital pharmacy experience, with at least three (3) years at a director level.
- Strong operational and clinical background with business acumen.
- Proven ability to lead large projects and manage a motivated and cross-trained staff.
- Proficiency with current systems including Medi-tech, Microsoft Office Suite, Mosaic, ePARS, PMP, PolicySTAT, and Omnicell.
Shift/Weekend Rotation:
Monday through Friday, exempt position, weekends off.
