Pharmacy Inventory Coordinator, Supply Chain and Automation - University Hospitals

Position Summary

This position is responsible for planning, monitoring, and directly coordinating pharmacy storeroom staff in the safe, effective, and cost-effective acquisition of drugs within University Hospitals.

Essential Functions

• Procurement and restocking of drug products within the hospital and individual pharmacies
• Processing of all associated invoices and credits.
• Maintain orderliness of pharmacy storeroom area.
• Utilization of electronic systems for ordering and receiving.

Education

• High School Equivalent / GED Required 
• Bachelor's Degree Preferred

Work Experience

• 5+ years hospital pharmacy experience required with emphasis on computerized pharmacy systems, such as Omnicell Cabinets and Carousel, Pharmacy Procurement and invoicing systems. Required
• Inventory / storeroom management experience Required
• Previous pharmacy supply chain experience with a working 340B knowledge Preferred

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Good communication skills essential. Required
• Knowledge of computerized pharmacy ordering and distribution systems. Required
• Proven track record in effectively utilizing inventory management systems like Omnicell, Pyxis, or comparable platforms, ensuring efficient stock control and replenishment processes Preferred
• Strong record keeping abilities. Required
• Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access experience Required
• Proficient in Epic utilization Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) and Ohio Board of Pharmacy Registered Required
