POSITION SUMMARY:
The clinical manager is responsible to the director of pharmacy services for assuring that all clinical and professional policies and procedures, tasks and responsibilities are at optimal levels. He/she is responsible for developing, maintaining and coordinating the department's clinical and student programs. He/she is responsible for the operational activities when the manager and/or director are unavailable. The clinical manager shall be able to carry out all clinical and operational activities of the pharmacy in conjunction with other services and/or departments, working within the overall policies set forth by the governing board of Florida Medical Center. He/she must assist with the dissemination of policies, procedures, tasks and responsibilities as guided by the director in order to comply with the directives set forth by TJC, DPR, HRS, ASHP, and DEA; thus allowing for the proper care of our pediatric through geriatric patients while at Florida Medical Center.
CUSTOMER SERVICE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs duties and conducts interpersonal relationships in a manner designed to project a positive image of the department and the hospital. Works with supervisor/manager and other members of section or department to promote a harmonious work environment. Ensures that all contacts with patients, the public, physicians and other hospital personnel are carried out in a friendly, courteous, helpful and considerate manner. Answers telephones in a prompt and courteous manner. Displays concern and provides assistance or explains procedures as appropriate to callers or in face-to-face situations. Dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers. Works with customers to identify problem areas and recommend solutions
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (including required licenses/certifications, education and job knowledge/experience):
- Current Florida Licensure in Pharmacy.
- Minimum of B.S. in pharmacy and/or Pharm D. and/or MBA or graduate degree in a related area.
- Minimum of 4 years hospital experience preferred. One year of previous managerial experience preferred.
