About the Job
We are looking for an Order Specialist to join our pharmacy client, who has served the community for over 80 years! They predominantly support long-term care facilities, delivering medication via mail in a closed-door environment.
This position is responsible for entering and processing prescription orders into the pharmacy operating system with both speed and accuracy, and communicating with clients to respond to questions and ensuring all necessary information is collected.

- Pay rate: $19 - $21

- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 am to 7:00 pm (8-hour shifts) and up to 1 Saturday/month
Responsibilities:
- Enter new and refill prescriptions into the operating system in an accurate and timely manner to eliminate errors at dispensing
- Calculate/verify correct dosages as prescribed
- Follow up with providers as needed to receive, evaluate and process refill requests
- Proper documentation of notes and codes
- Support fulfillment as needed
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent degree required
- 2+ years of related experience within a pharmacy setting
- Ability to work independently to solve problems and deliver to deadlines
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Previous experience with pharmacy systems (i.e. Legacy Pharmacy) preferred
- Ability to work independently as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment
