Job Summary/Objective
The Pharmacy Systems Administrator is responsible for providing support to pharmacy staff and the dispensing operations including automation. Responsibilities are to develop and coordinate Medvantx applications and maintain the pharmacy information systems within the organization in collaboration with members of the IT department, attend regular meetings with related departments; be the primary contact for pharmacy-related support, and is responsible for ensuring all enterprise pharmacy applications are functionally appropriate, compatible with the corporate infrastructure and performing as expected.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and support Pharmacy applications including testing and deployment of updates, software changes, and new version releases.
Ensure Pharmacy Systems applications are working as expected and lead troubleshooting efforts to support their continued operations.
Manage upgrades of existing enterprise applications and communication of system status to leadership as appropriate.
Identify, evaluate, implement, and support Pharmacy Systems applications
Manage Pharmacy Systems applications projects of simple to moderate complexity
Maintain enterprise application inventory, version control and licensing
Participate in Pharmacy Systems applications projects as a technical subject matter expert for projects such as multi-site geographic order routing and EDI integrations.
Perform other duties as required by business needs

Critical Skills
Application expertise with core Pharmacy Systems running on the Windows operating systems
Understanding of Software as a Service (SaaS) and Client/Server software architecture.
Ability to manage and document projects and application implementations
Familiarity with System Validation and test case development
Ability to acquire application-specific expertise
Strong communication skills
Strong relationship-building and customer service skills
Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented and collaborative environment.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a field of computer information systems or a related field, or an equivalent combination of work and experience.
5 years of experience in IT application development, analysis, and support
Physical Demands
- The physical demands of this position are in keeping with general office functions: sitting, using a computer, keyboard, telephone, etc.
This role is remote and Includes a travel expectation of 10% (required or optional)
