About The Job:
In accordance with state and federal regulations, assists the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy. Assists the pharmacist in the performance of other pharmacy department duties in accordance with MCRHC policies and procedures. Is responsible for using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions. Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
The Shift:
Monday-Friday, as needed with occasional Saturdays. This is a PRN role.
The Pay:
Starting at $16.00 salary increases with experience and certification.
What We Need from You:
- Engages customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolves customer issues in a timely manner and answers questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Models and shares customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, including interpersonal habits (e.g., greeting, eye contact, courtesy, etc.) and MCRHC customer experience guidelines (e.g., offering help proactively, identifying needs, servicing until satisfied, etc.)
- Develops strong relationships with customers by anticipating customer needs and proactively offering services.
Qualifications
Education:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Must be a registered pharmacy technician or be eligible for registration in the State of Iowa. This must be completed within 90 days of employment.
- Certified Pharmacy Technician required.
Experience:
- Previous retail pharmacy experience preferred.
Special Skills & Aptitudes:
- Proficient in mathematical skills so to fill prescriptions accurately, including counting, measuring, and weighing medications.
- Good computer skills.
- Prefer knowledge of store inventory control.

Mitchell County Regional Health Center is in Osage, Iowa located in Mitchell County, which has a population of 10,600 people. MCRHC is a 25-bed critical access hospital, including a Level 4 Trauma Center Emergency Room seeing 3,200 visits annually. The Surgical Services department performs over 1,300 procedures annually, including specialties General Surgery, Orthopedics, ENT, Urology, Ophthalmology, Pain management, and Podiatry.
