Requirements:
- Must possess National Pharmacy Technician certification -This is a compounding role
- 1 year experience as a pharmacy tech coordinating activities in an administrative support function.
- Advanced computer skills- Word and Excel
- Excellent communication skills- verbal and written
- Verifiable HSD or GED
Pay: The anticipated wage for this position is between 17.80 and $18.04
Hourly wage depends upon experience, education, geographic location and other factors.
Location: Malvern, Pennsylvania
Schedule- Monday – Friday- 8:30 to 5:30 with 1 hour lunch
Job duties:
Under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, prepare and package medication and supplies in preparation for shipment to patients.
Perform record-keeping functions.
Assist in various inventory control processes.
Select, pick, package, and label medications and ancillary supplies per prescriptions.
Prepare and compound sterile products.
Maintain the pharmacy clean room suite to USP 797 and USP 800 requirements.
Clean the cleanroom suite, including ceilings, walls, equipment, and all surfaces with approved disinfectants.
Document IV admixture and clean room suite sterility testing.
Complete appropriate documentation for inventory management and storage, including labels, log sheets, and reports.
Accurately count drugs using both manual processes and automated counting devices.
Prepare and/or restocks the pharmacy preparation rooms with medication and/or supplies as needed.
