Our two campuses in Methuen and Haverhill have a total of 320 beds, and we are a full-service, acute care hospital offering comprehensive inpatient medical/surgical units, outpatient care, and 24/7 emergency services. We have three behavioral health units: cardiac telemetry, and critical care service lines. Our Haverhill campus offers all private rooms, and our Methuen campus offers a new state-of-the-art catheterization suite and Joint Center of Excellence, named as a Blue Cross Blue Shield Blue Distinction+ Center for Knee and Hip Replacement.
Position Summary:
Summary:
Pharmacy technicians assist and support licensed pharmacists in providing health care and medications to patients. Pharmacy technicians must have a broad knowledge of pharmacy practice, and be skilled in the techniques required to order, stock, package, and compound and otherwise prepare medications. Other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities:
- Knowledge of CPT and ICD coding highly desired
- Knowledge of third-party payer regulations and guidelines highly desired
- Proficiency in PC software, especially Microsoft Word and Excel spreadsheet programs
- Experience with electronic health record systems
- Ability to effectively manage multiple demands, working under moderate to high degree of pressure.
- Ability to multi-task and problem solve with strong organizational skills.
- Excellent leadership skills and strong decision making and self-motivation skills.
- Strong organizational, prioritization, communication, and mathematical skills.
- Knowledge of Specialty Pharmacy Operations and third-party payers and insurance plans.
- Ability to understand the importance of and respect the confidentiality of all patient information.
Qualifications:
- Education: High School graduate or equivalent.
- Experience: 2 years of experience preferred
- Licensure/Certification: Registered with the Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy as a Technician.
