Pharmacy Technician- Centre Pharmacy - Columbine Health Systems

Centre Pharmacy is a long-term care pharmacy providing pharmaceutical services to the residents of our Columbine facilities.  

We are located at 915 Centre Ave., Suite 4, Fort Collins, Co.  

We are accepting applications for a Pharmacy Technician that is energetic, accurate, and a team player in a high volume long term care pharmacy.   

Must be able to work:

• Monday-Friday: 9:15 am to 5:45 pm but can be later depending on workload.
• 1 out of 5 weekends on-call (Friday before weekend off).
• 1 on-call holiday per year.

Pharmacy Technician

• The Pharmacy Technician interprets physician written orders.
• Enters prescriptions into the computer.  
• Counts and fills medications and prescriptions under the supervision of the Pharmacist.  
• Delivers medications to the appropriate skilled nursing facility and assisted living facilities.  
• Receives inventory.
• Assists walk-in employees with prescriptions.
• Orders and maintains the stock of supplies.

Requirements:

• Competent with computer applications.  
• Team-player and maintain an acceptable driving record, per company standards.
• Must be able to multi-task and have effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be a high school graduate.
• Have a current driver's license and your own transportation.

Preferred Experience:

• Prior pharmacy technician experience
• Pharmacy Technician Certification license
• Prior billing experience including prior authorization and working with insurances.
