Position Details:
What you will do in this role:
- Fills orders with correct medications.
- Delivers medications to patient care areas and automated dispensing machines accurately and timely.
- Procures pharmaceutical and related supplies per contractual terms.
- Maintains appropriate pharmacy inventory levels
- Prepares pharmaceutical preparations including unit-dosing medication and properly labeling any dispensed medications.
- Processes records of medication and equipment dispensed to patient, computes charges, and enters data in computer.
- Generates required reports (e.g., pick list, expiring medications).
- Maintains temperature and environmental monitoring logs appropriately.
Prioritizes work (e.g., stats made first).
a. Restocks shelves and rotates stock.
b. Properly disposes of non-recyclable items.
c. Maintains refrigerator temperature and other quality assurance logs.
d. Receives and stores incoming supplies.
e. Counts stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records.
f. Returns medications to stock and rotates stock.
Organizes and maintains pharmacy related documents.
Maintains clean and sanitary pharmacy department.
Collaborates with Director of Pharmacy to ensure department needs are met and departmental goals are achieved.
Maintains security of the pharmacy. Maintains security of controlled substances.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Current State Certification/Licensure as required by state.
