Overview
Do you have at minimum one-year of pharmacy technician experience? We at MHealth Fairview are looking for you to join our amazing Kasota team located in Minneapolis! This is a casual position.
Under the direction of the Pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician II is responsible for day-to-day comprehensive pharmacy technician services the compounding pharmacy. This will include compounding and dispensing nonsterile medications according to USP 795 and USP 800 standards. Additional responsibilities will include staging items to go into the buffer room, receiving stock and packing items for shipment. Technicians will be cross-trained and be competent in data entry, order processing and call center.
The Pharmacy Technician II will skillfully use interpersonal, customer service, problem solving and collaboration skills to support and influence operational objectives.
Responsibilities Job Description
Partner with pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to ensure pharmacy patients receive their prescriptions accurately, safely, in accordance with all legal requirements and policies and in a professional and timely manner.
Under the direction of the pharmacist, fulfill and prepare prescription orders for delivery in an accurate and timely manner in accordance with all legal, regulatory agency and Fairview requirements.
Maintain appropriate stock levels of supplies to use within the pharmacy on a daily basis.
Qualifications
Required
Experience
+ Minimum of one-year pharmacy technician experience
+ Completion of an American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) accredited pharmacy technician training program
License/Certification/Registration
+ Registered Technician with Minnesota Board of Pharmacy
Preferred
Education
+ Graduate of Pharmacy Technician program
Experience
+ Non-sterile compounding background
License/Certification/Registration
+ Pharmacy certification with the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board
Additional Requirements (must be obtained or completed within a period of time) :
License/Certification/Registration
+ Pharmacy certification with the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board within 1 year
