Job Summary and Qualifications
Under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician II performs functions related to pharmaceutical preparation and distribution. Unlock your potential here!
Here is some of what you can expect from being a Pharmacy TechnicianII with us:
- You will do non-sterile compounding, stocking automated dispensing cabinets,
- You will prepare unit dose drug
- You will be delivering medications to patient care areas
- You will check medication storage areas for outdated
- Youwill need to complete billing duties
- You may work in an IV room, controlled substance distribution and monitoring, automation, informatics, and medication reconciliation.
Qualifications you will need for this role:
- A Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT or national equivalent) with a Colorado Board of Pharmacy (DORA)- issued Pharmacy Technician certificate or a Colorado Board of Pharmacy (DORA)- issued Provisional Pharmacy Technician Certificate.
- If initially hired with a Colorado Board of Pharmacy (DORA) issued Provisional Pharmacy Technician Certificate, must achieve Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT or national equivalent) within 12 months of hire date.
- High school diploma
- Two years' experience as a pharmacy technician is preferred.
