Responsibilities:Provides assistance with measuring, mixing, counting out, labeling and recording amounts and dosages of medications according to prescription orders under the direction of a Pharmacist.
Hours - 2nd shift - 2:30-close. Monday-Friday, rotating weekends
2nd shift includes a 5% shift differential
Duties
1. Prepacks for the floor bulk medications, fill bottles with prescribed medications and affix labels.
2. Responds to questions or requests. Directs inquires as needed to various departments.
3. Maintains proper storage and security conditions for drugs.
4. Orders, labels, and counts stock of medications, chemicals, or supplies.
5. Receives and stores incoming supplies, verifies quantities against invoices, checks for outdated medications in current inventory and informs supervisor of stock needs and shortages.
6. Assists with special projects as needed.
7. Meets Expectations of Excellence for position.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Associate degree preferred.
• Pharmacy Technician as required by State regulatory requirements.
• One year of pharmacy technician experience preferred, but not required.
• Exemplary computer skills that include knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite of products.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Sitting, standing, bending, reaching, stretching, stooping, walking, and moving intermittently during working hours. Must be able to lift at least 50lbs. Must be able to maintain verbal and written communication with co-workers, supervisors, residents, family members, visitors, vendors, and all business associates outside of the health campus.
