SITE. $5,000 sign on bonus! FTE: 1.000000 Shift: 1 Schedule: 8 hour
shifts working between the hours of 6am 6pm, rotating weekends and
holidays Job Summary: Following established policies and procedures,
under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, prepares and distributes
medication and performs functions essential to the operations of the
pharmacy department. Oversees training of new technician staff.
Functions within the guidelines of the Wisconsin Statutes and
Administrative Code - Pharmacy Examining Board - Pharmacy Practice
Sections. Other duties as assigned. EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION: A minimum of
3 years work experience in a hospital pharmacy department is preferred.
For decentralized technicians - a minimum of 3 years work experience in
an outpatient/community pharmacy is preferred.EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:
High School diploma or equivalent is required. Graduate of a Nursing
Assistant or Medical Assistant program or equivalent work experience is
preferred. TRAINING DESCRIPTION: Graduate of an accredited pharmacy
technician training program is preferred.LICENSURE DESCRIPTION:
Application for Wisconsin registration as a Pharmacy Technician is
required by hire date and must be obtained within 12 months of hire.
Staff hired into this role prior to 3/31/23 must have applied for
Wisconsin registration by 3/31/23 and have until 3/31/24 to obtain
registration. Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through
passing the Pharmacy Technician Certification Boards exam (PTCE) or the
National Healthcareer Associations exam (ExCPT) is required within 6
