Pharmacy Technician (IV Admixture Tech) Job description:

Pharmacy Technician (IV Admixture Tech) Schedule & location:

• Green Valley AZ 85622 United States
• 7:30am to 4:00pm
• Monday to Friday
• 3-month contract to start

Pharmacy Technician (IV Admixture Tech) Salary/Wage:

• 19.00$/HR – 25.00$/HR (based on experience)

Pharmacy Technician (IV Admixture Tech) Duties:

• Assist with admixing drugs as ordered by physician in an accurate and timely manner as per department guidelines and preparing all drugs within OSHA guidelines and interoffice guidelines.
• Assist in counting controlled drugs weekly and maintain records; properly dispose all materials used when mixing chemo or non-chemo IVs.
• Assist with required cleaning and maintenance of the admix area and the pharmacy department.
• Assist with quality assurance activities as assigned.
• Assist in keeping accurate temperature logs, accurate logs on all protocol drugs and patient assistance drugs, and proper control documentation of medications including lot numbers.
• Calculate correct dosage volumes, converting between metric and apothecary equivalents.
• Check all orders for completeness of information; verify patient information and proper physician authorization.
• Provide support with inventory control of medications.

Pharmacy Technician (IV Admixture Tech) Required Qualification

• AZ Tech License and PTCB required.
• IV/Admixture experience required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent
