Job Overview - Pharmacy Technician:
Step into a vital role as a Pharmacy Technician in Jackson, MI, where you will support pharmacy operations by preparing prescriptions, managing medication inventory, and assisting with patient care. This position offers the opportunity to gain experience in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Compensation: $18 - $19/hour
Location: Jackson, MI
Schedule: Monday to Friday (7:00 AM to 5:30 PM) and Saturday (8:00 AM to 12:00 PM)

Responsibilities as the Pharmacy Technician:

• Prescriptions: Select and measure dosages of medications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with prescriptions.
• Medication Management: Sort, stock, and label medications, while keeping inventory organized and up to date.
• Pharmacy Operations: Sterilize equipment, maintain a clean environment, and prepare the pharmacy for daily operations.
• Administrative Support: Perform record-keeping tasks and ensure documentation is accurate and in line with regulatory standards.
• Compliance and Safety: Follow security measures and quality standards to ensure the safety of patients and the pharmacy team.

Qualifications for the Pharmacy Technician:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a retail or long-term care pharmacy setting.
• Licensure: MI Pharmacy Technician license required.
• Certification: PTCB Certification preferred.
• Skills: Strong communication skills and the ability to learn new systems quickly and efficiently.
