Requirements: To be considered for this role you must have the following experience, and certifications:

- Valid National Pharmacy Technician License (CPhT) preferred.

- Must have at least 1 year of experience as a Pharmacy Clerk

- 2 years of IV compounding experience.

- Must have strong Data Entry skills

- Must reside within a reasonable driving distance to Malvern, PA .

- High School Diploma or equivalent GED

- Excellent Written and verbal skills

- Proficiency with Excel spreadsheets

- Prior authorization experience

 

Job Duties:

- Process incoming calls from members and providers, offering professional phone assistance.
- Initiate the prior authorization process for prescription medications.
- Maintain complete and accurate documentation for all approvals, denials, and transfers.

 

Job Location:  Malvern, PA

Pay- The anticipated wage for this position is between $18 and $18.30.

Hourly wage depends upon experience, education, geographic location and other factors.

  ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Assist the pharmacist in obtaining authorization for pharmacy services as requested; validate insurance coverage and communication with patients by telephone.

 .Take in-coming calls from members and providers, providing professional phone assistance to all callers through the criteria based prior authorization process.
· Gather information for the initial admission of new patients and review all new charts to ensure that all necessary nursing paperwork is included
· Manage the schedule for patient deliveries, manage inventory, create and maintain supply templates in the pharmacy computer data base
· Document all supply management activities in the patient medical record 

 

Schedule-
Monday to Friday 830am to 530pm with 1 hour lunch

Pay Details: $18.00 to $18.30 per hour
