Pharmacy Technician - Leon Medical Centers

Under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist the Pharmacy Technician will perform a variety of tasks, including: * Collecting patient information, including prescriptions taken, and entering it into a computer system. * Measuring medication amounts, packaging, and labeling prescriptions. * Maintaining inventory records, ordering supplies, and checking for expired medications. * Answering patient questions, arranging for patients to speak with Pharmacists, and providing information on products and symptoms. * Operating packaging machinery and cleaning equipment, shelves, and work areas. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the ability to work effectively independently and in a team environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills. Must be patient in dealing with an elderly population and sensitive to hearing and/or vision deficiencies. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Must have excellent interpersonal skills. WORK EXPERIENCE One year of post license experience as a pharmacy technician. EDUCATION High School Diploma or equivalent. LANGUAGE SKILLS Fluent in English and Spanish is required. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS * Florida Pharmacy Technician License required. * PTCB preferred.
