Key Responsibilities:
- Triage and Input Orders: Interpret and input medication orders into our computerized medication order system, ensuring accuracy and productivity standards are met.
- Audit Input: Review and audit input against documentation, making corrections as needed.
- Perform Calculations: Conduct drug calculations, including basic math conversions (e.g., milligrams).
- Resolve Denials: Address issues related to denials identified through adjudication and follow up on claims in the Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Knowledge Maintenance: Stay current on Medicaid claim regulations and processes.
- Reporting: Produce reports and keep management informed of unpaid claims and claims pending follow-up.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent service to both external and internal customers in line with company values.
- Assist Pharmacist: May assist with drug preparation and dispensing under the direct supervision of a Pharmacist.
- Additional Tasks: Perform other duties as assigned, assisting in various areas of the pharmacy as directed by management.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Previous pharmacy-related experience is preferred.
- Knowledge: Basic understanding of drugs, medication terminology, and the metric system; ability to operate a computer.
- Licenses/Certifications: Must have a valid NH Pharmacy Technician License as required by state regulations.
- Skills: Detail-oriented, goal-oriented, strong team player, customer service-oriented, and effective oral communication skills.
