Position Overview
Are you ready to be the linchpin that ensures quality healthcare, seamless patient care, and a dynamic communication flow between patients, healthcare providers, and our dedicated team? As a Pharmacy Technician at Strive Pharmacy, your role is nothing short of extraordinary. You're the heart of our commitment to excellence, safeguarding the highest standards of compliance as outlined in our Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Key Responsibilities
Join the forefront of healthcare excellence, where you'll:
- Helps health care providers and patients by greeting them in person, by phone, and by text, answering questions and requests, and referring inquiries to the pharmacist.
- Respond to text messages promptly for easy communication with patients and offices.
- Works with patients and providers to complete new and refill prescription orders including payment, shipping, and processing.
- Organizes medications for pharmacist to dispense by reading medication orders and prescriptions, preparing labels, counting medications, and assembling patient orders.
- Maintains pharmacy inventory by checking pharmaceutical stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed medications and supplies, placing and expediting orders, verifying receipt, and removing outdated drugs.
- Maintains a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Supports pharmacy services by stocking, assembling, and dispensing medications.
- Maintains records by recording and filing physicians' orders and prescriptions.
- Provide efficient solutions to inquiries about orders, including payment, shipping, and processing.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
- Mix custom medications, like liquids, creams, pills, and more, to help people in need
- Maintain and document scales and meters for precise measurements
- Ensure quality control and hand off compounds to the pharmacist for final approval
Required Qualifications
- A GED or high school diploma
- A clean criminal record with no felonies
- Completion of a recognized PTCB course
- An active State technician license
Desired Skills
- Previous experience in a pharmacy setting
- Compounding experience a plus
