We seek a Per Diem Pharmacy Technician to support all functions of the Genoa mental health and specialty pharmacy primarily through dispensing medical prescriptions and performing necessary clerical duties while under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist.

Hours:  This is a Per Diem role, will be working on an ‘as needed’ basis only to cover PTO’s and call-outs at two sites in San Francisco (San Francisco sites are about 2 miles apart) and occasionally the site in Gualala, CA.

Pharmacy Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:30am – 4pm (lunch 12pm – 12:30pm)

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional customer service to all consumers and members of the clinic staff


• Fills prescription orders and makes them available for verification under direct supervision of the registered pharmacist


• Orders, receives and stores incoming pharmacy supplies


• Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders


• Verifies medication stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records


• Works with the Pharmacist to assist in the pharmacy functions and keeping the pharmacy in compliance with all federal and state requirements


• Performs various clerical duties relating to the department


• Communicates with strong professional verbal and written communication skills


• Occasional deliveries will be required when needed, would be less than 10% of the time, would be using your own vehicle and will be reimbursed for mileage (deliveries would be to other facilities only, never to residences)


• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in the state of California


• Access to reliable transportation & valid US driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications:

• 6+ months of Pharmacy Technician experience


• National Pharmacy Technician Certification
