Responsibilities
Performs activities or tasks in specialty pharmacy services. Performs specialized areas as medicine history, buyer and other inventory related areas, nuclear, and PAP as a pharmacy technician.
+ Refills and maintains automated dispensing system.
+ Prepares orders and maintains inventory for the specialty pharmacy areas.
+ Repackages bulk medications.
+ Receives and stores incoming supplies.
+ Serves as a liaison between pharmacy, patient and health professionals by providing necessary information.
Requirements
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
+ Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) preferred. Must possess all state and local qualifications.
+ Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the National Healthcareer Association. Must possess all state and local qualifications preferred.
Education:
+ High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
+ Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
Additional Preferences
+ 2 years of retail or specialty pharmacy experience highly preferred
+ Experience working with Enterprise Rx pharmacy processing system
+ Data entry of prescriptions experience
+ Strong computer skills
+ Exceptional communication skills
