Acuren Inspection is currently recruiting for Advanced UT Technician with Phased Array certification and TOFD experience. This position is broad in scope, with direct exposure to many aspects of the NDE industry.
Approximately 90% of this role will be spent in the field or field office and 10% spent at the division. The Technician will work independently for extended periods in support of clients programs. Primarily will be performing calibrations; Nondestructive Tests; evaluations for acceptance or rejection determinations according to written instructions and record results; performing tests outside the normal requirements of NDT.
Must be familiar with the scope and limitations of the test/inspection method being used and should exercise assigned responsibility for on-the-job training and guidance of Assistants and Level I PLI Technicians.

Responsibilities:- Set up and utilize nondestructive testing equipment including mag yokes, UT thickness gauges, UT Flaw detectors, and automated UT equipment.
- Calibrate nondestructive test equipment
- Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection
- Follow Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations
- Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results
- Organize and report test results
- Perform specialized inspections
- Review of inspection reports, including assisting other technicians with reporting
- Attending operational meetings with client engineers and project managers
- Maintaining open lines of communication between clients and technicians
- Assisting in technician training
- Resolving any technical issues in the field
- Reporting the results obtained from investigations
- May instruct and supervise others
- Perform other job related tasks by manager
- PAUT certification, including at least one third party accreditation (QUTE, QUPA, ISQSW, ISQPAUT)
- 5+ years experience in NDT
- 2+ years experience with phased array / automated UT / advanced ultrasonics
- TOFD experience is +, TOFD certification is ++
