Education: Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Desirable characteristics include at least two years of experience in a hospital or medically related environment. Training in an approved school of phlebotomy or program desired, as well as on-the-job experience, will be evaluated by displaying job knowledge and skills.
Licenses/Certificates: Alabama does not currently require a license, but certification by the National Phlebotomy Association is preferred.
