Phlebotomist Lead - Clinical Labs - University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics Authority

This is a full-time, FTE 1.0 1st shift position. Monday - Friday, 4:30am - 1pm Every third weekend required. Holiday and on-call rotations required. Hours may vary depending on department needs. You may be eligible for up to a $2,500 sign-on bonus. You will work at University Hospital.

We are seeking a Phlebotomist Lead to:

• Collect blood specimens using a variety of techniques from patients of all ages in an inpatient and outpatient setting.
• Work with other teams of healthcare professionals to provide a positive experience to all patients, families and visitors.
• Provide daily support to other laboratory staff with regard to laboratory policies and procedures.
• Onboarding and training new employees and students.

• High School Diploma or equivalent Required
• Completion of accredited phlebotomy training program and clinical rotation Preferred

Work Experience

• 1 year of experience in phlebotomy Required
• 2 years of experience in phlebotomy Preferred

Licenses & Certifications

• Phlebotomist (American Society for Clinical Pathology) or equivalent Preferred
