Qualifications:
3 years’ experience as a Phlebotomy Technician required.
2 years teaching or training in healthcare field required.
Associate degree or successful completion of 60 college credit hours preferred
Ability to work effectively with diverse populations
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
Knowledge of teaching methods, curriculum, and education programs
Ability to teach and control the behavior of students
Knowledge of academic and/or vocational education criteria
Knowledge of and ability to apply current education methodologies and techniques
Must be able to stand for long periods of time
Knowledge in the following content areas:
Various blood collection methods
Collection devices
Syringes
Capillary skin puncture
Needles
Blood culture
Specimen collection for all ages
OTHER NECESSARY SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Must be a self-starter and able to multitask
Strong computer skills
Demonstrated ability and experience to engage the interest of adult learner
Demonstrated ability to work with diverse adult learners, including those with special needs
Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a team member
Demonstrated ability to evaluate tests and measurements of achievement
Demonstrated willingness to be held accountable for students results
Sensitive to the needs of adult learners and respectful of learner confidentiality
Experience working with volunteers and consultants
Strong cultural competency skills, including excellent ability to communicate with a diverse population

Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate assigned equipment and a computer keyboard.

Bending at the waist, kneeling or crouching to file materials.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25lbs
Must be able to withstand extended viewing of computer screens
This position will sit in an open/shared office environment with moderate noise levels.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this position is currently working a hybrid model, telework and on-site. Schedule will be determined by the Senior Leadership Team.
