- Reports to Communications Supervisor / Communications Manager
- Positions supervised: none
- Non-Exempt position
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- One year previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred

- Phone / Communication systems
- EMR/PMS Greenway Intergy preferred
- Medical Terminology
- Healthcare compliance
Skills and Abilities
- Good communication skills both verbal and written

- Legible handwriting
- Customer service (patients, physician, co-workers, community, and volunteers) duties in a manner which meets the needs of the patient in a positive, timely, appropriate manner. Demonstrates professional, courteous, helpful and cooperative behavior.
- Performs clerical duties within established procedural guidelines
- Time management
- Attends and participates in all applicable training and development workshops scheduled by the Practice
- Maintains work area and equipment in an orderly manner
- Performs all duties as assigned by supervisor
Physical Requirements
- Good visual acuity, hand-finger dexterity, ability to speak and hear.
- Able to lift and carry in excess of 25 pounds, which may require pushing, pulling and essentially utilizing a full range of body movement.
- Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, grasp and stand for extended periods of time.
Standards:
- Understands and follows the standards of the Bluegrass Orthopaedic Employee Manual
- Understands and follows the Bluegrass Practice Responsibility Program, Code of Conduct and completes all yearly compliance trainings and educational programs.
