About the Job
The Phone Receptionist-DME is a customer facing position responsible for the processing of patient orders, making sure paperwork is complete and accurate before sending it to billing department, managing inbound/outbound calls and delivering quality customer service. The specialist may be responsible for interacting with various personnel in medical facilities. The specialist will build relationship internally and externally while adjusting quickly to a fast-paced environment.
Requirements/Responsibilities
Responsibility Of Phone Receptionist-DME
• Process request for patient and facility orders accurately and timely.
• Ensure Shan Medical client satisfaction by processing request timely.
• Answer all calls and emails in a timely manner following up when necessary.
• Develop and maintain working knowledge of current products and services offered.
• Complete insurance verification to determine patient's eligibility.
• Ability to navigate multiple online EMR systems.
• Assist in the correct payer maintenance within Company systems and working with. correct department to ensure accurate setup.
• Facilitate resolution on customer complaints and problem solving.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and function within the guidelines of HIPPA and Company.
• Complete assigned Compliance training and other educational programs as required.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
Education And Experience Requirement
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years work-related experience in health care or intake.
• Excellent customer service communication ability.
• Work well independently and as part of a group.
• Ability to multi-task in a rapidly growing and changing environment.
Preferred Qualification
• 2-3 years Customer Service experience.
• General Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial and Managed Medicaid requirement preferred.
• DME experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office ( Word, Excel, etc) and virtual means of communication
