Photonics Test Technician

As we continue to expand, we are searching for a Photonics Test Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be a vital part of our component testing, laboratory management, and logistics, contributing directly to the advancement of groundbreaking photonic technologies. You will work alongside our engineers, engaging in the hands-on testing of cutting-edge photonic integrated circuits. Role responsibilities:
- Perform precise measurements on photonic integrated circuits and maintain detailed records of test data.
- Collaborate with engineers to refine and improve measurement techniques.
- Support the management of materials, including inventory control and handling specialized photonic components.
- Assist with logistics, including preparing and packaging materials for shipment to clients and partners.
- Contribute to maintaining and organizing lab facilities and equipment, ensuring a clean and efficient workspace.
Ideal qualifications:
- Technical certification or associate degree in a relevant field (Electronics, Photonics, Optical Engineering, or similar) or equivalent hands-on experience in a related industry.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, with an ability to prioritize tasks effectively and maintain a well-ordered workspace.
- Desire to work collaboratively with our team to improve our measurement systems and capabilities.
- Familiarity with common laboratory equipment used in electronics or photonics settings, such as oscilloscopes, lasers, and power supplies.
- Interest in photonics and a willingness to learn new techniques and technologies.
- Some familiarity with scripting languages, such as Python, would be helpful to assist in reading or writing simple test scripts.
- Authorization to work in the US is required.
