Our client is seeking an experienced Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Physician (PM&R) to join their team. This pivotal role involves providing comprehensive care to patients with traumatic injuries and managing pain to restore functionality and well-being. As a key member of a multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in diagnosing, treating, and rehabilitating patients, ensuring they receive the highest standard of care.
Location: Bronx, NY
Compensation: $300,000 - $350,000/year
Schedule: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday

Responsibilities as the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Physician (PM&R):
- Diagnosis and Treatment: Diagnose, manage, and treat pain resulting from injury, illness, or medical conditions.
- Examination and Evaluation: Conduct extensive examinations to pinpoint difficult diagnoses and create individualized rehabilitation and treatment plans.
- Documentation: Document all patient evaluations, treatments, medications, and transactions in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Patient Education: Ensure patients understand their diagnosis and provide relevant information.
- Medication Management: Prescribe relevant medications to assist with pain management and regaining functionality.
- Patient Instruction: Instruct patients on proper exercise techniques, healthy nutritional behaviors, and provide adequate advice and support as needed.
- Pain Management: Administer injections to pain areas to relieve pain and restore function.
- Collaboration: Consult and communicate with other physicians, specialists, and medical professionals to optimize patient treatment.
- License: New York Medical License.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years' experience; previous clinical experience as a PM&R preferred.
- Education: Medical Degree from an accredited university.
- Specialized Knowledge: Previous work experience in work and motor vehicle-related injuries preferred; knowledge of No Fault and Workers Compensation laws and regulations.
- Certification: Workers Compensation Authorized; Licensed Acupuncturist.
