Job Summary:
As a PIV Credentialing Specialist, you will issue, track, replace and verify identity badges and credentials to maintain access control of the Federal facility for a Federal office that contributes to our national security by adjudicating DoD security clearances. As part of the Government Agency PIV Office and Credential Unit, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the physical security of the building, ensuring that entry badges to the Federal building, as well as government PIV cards and credentials, are issued, created, tracked, monitored and managed, according to DoD personnel security protocols.

Responsibilities and Duties:
- PIV processing and site inspections
- Serve as primary PIV Registrar Activator for EOUST
- Conduct enrollment for personnel requiring PIV cards in the US Access system
- Activate and/or update PIV cards for all personnel eligible to receive PIV cards for USTP
- Coordinates with department contacts and field personnel; provides training and guidance on the process of obtaining a new or replacement PIV card
- Serves as a back-up to the Program's Personnel Security Specialist and has the ability and knowledge to initiate credit, name, and fingerprint checks for employees, contractors, and trustees
- Has the ability to initiate investigations to OPM/FBI on or before employee's EOD date and as soon as practicable for trustees, ensuring that all submission requirements are usually met
- Prepares findings of physical security surveys and inspections, or reviews and analyzes findings of third-party security surveys, for the purpose of evaluating the Program's effective management of risk and conformance to applicable security guidelines
- Works with each office on completing an Annual Safety and Health inspection or check list and which provides notice of issues within an office or meeting room that may need to be addressed with the General Services Administration (GSA)
- Assist USTP with authoritative analytical and advisory services to interpret and apply physical security policy, program requirements, and procedures applicable throughout USTP. In addition, provides authoritative analytical and advisory services to interpret and apply physical security policy, program requirements, and procedures with respect to the USTP which consists of approximately 1200 plus USTP federal staff and contractors located at the headquarters and about 100 regional offices throughout the United States. Workspace includes government buildings, federal courthouses, and private leased space which may be shared with other federal, or non-federal, tenants.
Experience: Minimum Experience Ten (10) years total (of which at least five years is Federal Experience) Education: Minimum Education High School Diploma or GED
