Position: Physical Therapist Assistant - Outpatient

Location: 1579 Capital Ave NE Suite 1571-J  Battle Creek, MI

Incentives: $3,000 Bonus and Student Debt Benefit

Schedule: Monday-Friday

Compensation: Hourly wage starting at $22.00 and up, commensurate with experience, PLUS Sign-On Bonus and Student Debt Benefit Program

Our NovaCare Battle Creek outpatient orthopedic center is seeking a licensed physical therapist assistant to provide exceptional patient care to patients of all ages and abilities. Our highly trained and respected clinical team provides treatment services that maximize functionality and promote the best optimal outcomes for our patients. We take pride in creating and exceptional patient experience, helping all of our patients get back to athletics, work, life and the things they love. 

Smaller outpatient clinic with 2-3 clinicians and front office staff. Treat mostly local high school and collegiate athletes, orthopedic conditions, concussion, and vertigo. Use of dry needling, blood flow restriction, and myofascial decompression (cupping) to increase speed of recovery. Direct mentorship with scheduled monthly continuing education review. Continuing education within the company with in-person and virtual courses offered. Community outreach with options to volunteer at local races and events as supporting medical staff.

• Responsible for patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist as mandated by State Practice Act.
• Possesses training and education which allows him/her to assist the Physical Therapist in carrying out prescribed treatment program.
• Implements, with minimal supervision, high quality physical therapy services for patients, caregivers and facilities in accordance with the principals and practices of physical therapy and with Select Medical policies and procedures.
• Maintains positive level of interaction with facilities and clients. Enhances and expands client relations with facilities and their staff.

• Must be a graduate from an approved curriculum for Physical Therapist Assistants, and having passed a national examination for Physical Therapist Assistants certified by the CAPTE.
• State license and/or certification must be valid in the state in which the individual will practice.
• Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
