Responsibilities
Conduct medically prescribed physical therapy under the supervision of a physical therapist.
+ Provide physical therapy interventions under a plan of care written by a physical therapist.
+ Perform therapy interventions utilizing techniques and skills as appropriate for the patient population.
+ Document treatment interventions given.
+ May coordinate activities of physical therapy aides, students and other support personnel.
Requirements
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
+ BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American HeartAssociation or American Red Cross accepted. Required.
+ Licensed Rehab Therapist specializing in Physical Therapy Asst credentialed from the Alabama Board of Physical Therapy obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date. Required.
Education:
+ High school diploma or GED required.
