Position: Physical Therapist Assistant

Location: NovaCare in Carroll County Maryland

Schedule: Per Diem / PRN / Part Time

Compensation: starting at $28.00/hr.

Our NovaCare outpatient orthopedic centers in Westminster, Eldersburg, Hampstead and Manchester are seeking licensed physical therapist assistants (PTA) to provide exceptional patient care to patients of all ages and abilities. Our highly trained and respected clinical team provides treatment services that maximize functionality and promote the best optimal outcomes for our patients. We are open to consider FULL, PART or PER DIEM / PRN licensed clinicians with at least one (1) year of recent OP ortho experience. All locations are OP ortho treating a diverse caseload. Clinicians average 12 patients in an eight hour day. Half day schedules are OK. We are unable to consider a new graduate for PRN, but can offer steady full time or part time hours for an independent new grad PTA.

Carroll County OP Center Hours: As early as 8AM with last patient scheduled at 7PM.

Schedule Options:

• Per Diem/ PRN is as needed coverage. No set schedule or expectations.
• Part time is less than 32 hours and a set schedule to include some evenings. Your last patient is scheduled an hour prior to close.
• Full time begins at 32 hours and includes full benefits.

Benefits and Incentives: Part time, PRN, and per diem clinicians will have access to our in-person and CEU accrediting courses. If you perform more than 1,000 hours in a calendar year, 401(k) with company match is available. Full time begins at 32 hours and will include additional benefits (medical/dental/vision, full Con Ed access, PTO + Holidays + PST).

• Responsible for patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist as mandated by State Practice Act.
• Possesses training and education which allows him/her to assist the Physical Therapist in carrying out prescribed treatment program.
• Implements, with minimal supervision, high quality physical therapy services for patients, caregivers and facilities in accordance with the principals and practices of physical therapy and with Select Medical policies and procedures.
• Maintains positive level of interaction with facilities and clients. Enhances and expands client relations with facilities and their staff.

• A valid state license (where applicable), registration or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant upon graduation from an approved curriculum for Physical Therapist Assistants, and having passed a national examination for Physical Therapist Assistants certified by the CAPTE.
• State license and/or certification must be valid in the state in which the individual will practice.
• Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
