Position: Physical Therapist

Location: Chico, California

Position Summary:

The Physical Therapist is responsible for providing evaluation and treatment based on physician referrals for patients with a variety of diagnoses. The therapist will assess, identify, and treat areas such as posture, locomotion, strength, endurance, balance, coordination, joint mobility, flexibility, pain, and functional abilities in daily living. Instruction and education are provided to patients and caregivers to ensure safe execution of techniques taught. The Physical Therapist supports the service excellence mission and the HomeCare and Services Departments.

Education/Training/Experience:

• One year of experience in acute care, extended care, rehabilitation, mental health, or outpatient setting.

Licenses/Certifications:

• Current Physical Therapy license from the State of California.
• Current CPR certification.
• Current California Drivers License.
• Eligible for coverage under the Medical Centers Liability Policy (must be at least 21 years old).
• Proof of current auto insurance coverage (without business exclusion).

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

• Must demonstrate technical competence, clinical judgment, communication skills, and sensitivity to patients and their families.
• Ability to provide treatment that meets practical and realistic needs and goals of the patient.
• Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position.

Patients Served:

• This position serves the physiological, emotional, and cognitive needs of pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
