About the Job
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Physical Therapist (PT) to join our dedicated team in Grand Bay, AL. As a PT, you will play a vital role in helping patients recover from injuries, manage chronic conditions, and improve their overall physical function and quality of life. Key Responsibilities:
Patient Evaluation: Conduct thorough evaluations of patients physical conditions, including range of motion, strength, balance, and coordination. Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings.
Treatment Planning: Design and implement evidence-based treatment plans tailored to each patient s needs and goals. Adjust treatment plans as necessary based on patient progress and feedback.
Therapeutic Interventions: Provide a range of physical therapy interventions, including manual therapy, exercise prescription, modality application, and functional training to enhance patients mobility and strength.
Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatment plans, and strategies for improving physical health. Provide guidance on home exercises and lifestyle modifications.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including evaluation results, treatment progress, and discharge summaries. Ensure all documentation complies with legal, regulatory, and professional standards.
Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, occupational therapists, and speech therapists, to coordinate comprehensive patient care. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings as needed.
Professional Development: Stay updated on the latest advancements in physical therapy practices and research. Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
Education: Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited physical therapy program.
Licensure: Current and valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist in Alabama.
Experience: Previous experience in a clinical setting is preferred, but new graduates are also encouraged to apply.
Skills: Strong clinical skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, and a patient-centered approach to care. Ability to develop and execute effective treatment plans and adapt to diverse patient needs.
