This role includes evaluation, treatment and managing patients' care. Applicants from diverse experiences, backgrounds, and identities are encouraged to apply.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESPerform and document an initial exam including review their medical history and referrals from doctors or surgeons to identify problems, and determine a diagnosis before intervention.Provides direct patient care and develops an individualized treatment plan to maintain, improve or restore physical function, alleviate pain, and prevent physical dysfunction in patients.Maintain patient records by keeping track of goals and progress while adapting treatment plans in accordance with facility policies and procedures.Supervises Physical Therapy assistants to achieve patients' functional goals.Participate in team meetings and other clinical and staff meetings.Develop and enhance clinical expertise. Maintain awareness of current research, literature, and professional consensus regarding treatment strategies.Demonstrate adherence to state practice acts and codes of ethical professional conduct in all spheres of clinical practice.Discharge patients appropriately and follow up with patients as needed.Provide EMR documentation in a timely manner to support treatment and treatment goals.Perform related work and other duties as required and/or assigned.EXPERIENCE & EDUCATIONPhysical Therapy degree from an accredited programLicensed Physical/ Occupational Therapist in State of MichiganCPR Certification preferredMust maintain CEU requirements of licensureRequirements: Must have compassion and empathy for patients who are often in pain.Must be detail oriented.Must have the ability to endure hours standing and the physical stamina to help lift patients.Must have excellent communication skills for concise interaction with patients, physicians, and family.Must have the ability to function independently but also contribute to team efforts as needed.Must be able to prioritize, multi-task, and work well under pressure.Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged periods.Required to lift, position, push and or transfer patients.Frequently perform reaching, bending, kneeling, and crouching.Must possess excellent customer service and patient care skills.PI179da218560c-25660-35430150
