Position Title: Pediatric Physical Therapist
Job Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Pediatric Physical Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a Doctorate in Physical Therapy and a minimum of 1 year of experience working with children on the autism spectrum or with developmental disabilities. This role involves providing high-quality physical therapy services to children, helping them achieve their full potential in a supportive and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate the physical condition, functional abilities, and limitations of pediatric patients, particularly those on the autism spectrum or with developmental disabilities.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address the specific needs and goals of each child.
- Provide hands-on therapy, including exercises, manual therapy, and other therapeutic techniques suitable for pediatric patients.
- Educate parents, caregivers, and school staff on exercise programs, home care, and strategies to support the child's development.
- Monitor and document patients' progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, educators, and therapists to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
- Stay current with advancements in pediatric physical therapy and incorporate new techniques into practice.

Minimum Background Requirements:
- Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working with pediatric patients, particularly those on the autism spectrum or with developmental disabilities.
- Current PT license in the state of NY
- Strong knowledge of pediatric physical therapy principles, techniques, and equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment.
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and other relevant healthcare technologies.
