About the Job
Children's Behavioral Services (CBS) is a multidisciplinary pediatric team providing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and Occupational Therapy (OT) to children in South Central Missouri. Since its opening in 2019 as a one-room operation, CBS has expanded to two state-of-the-art facilities featuring multiple treatment pods, inclusive classroom spaces, and custom sensory gyms. Our locations in Willow Springs and West Plains, Missouri, serve as hubs for innovative care, with plans to introduce Speech-Language Pathology and Physical Therapy in 2024. CBS is dedicated to delivering exceptional support in our clinics, local schools, and the homes of our clients.
Physical Therapist Job Responsibilities:
- Support the development and rehabilitation of patients with physical, emotional, and mental disabilities by administering medically prescribed physical therapy treatments.
- Collaborate with physicians to create individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments, evaluations, and test results.
- Assist patients in developing or regaining essential motor skills.
- Provide one-on-one therapy sessions to maximize patient outcomes.
- Promote independence by designing therapies aligned with patients’ physical abilities, cognitive levels, and interests.
- Monitor progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal results.
- Develop discharge plans in consultation with healthcare providers, ensuring a seamless transition from therapy.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on home exercise programs and recommend assistive equipment or follow-up care.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
- Ensure a clean and safe working environment by adhering to relevant regulations and procedures.
- Uphold infection control policies to safeguard patients and staff.
- Stay current with industry knowledge through continuing education and professional networking.
- Provide training and in-service programs for occupational therapy staff.
- Remain compliant with federal, state, and local certification and legal requirements.
- Contribute to the success of the team by performing additional duties as necessary and following company policies and procedures.

Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program
- Current or pending Missouri Physical Therapy License
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification for Healthcare Providers, or ability to obtain within 90 days

- Pay range depending on experience
Work Location: Client sessions may occur in various settings, including the clinic, client’s home, outdoors, schools, and community environments (e.g., stores, day programs). In-home and school-based services will be provided based on client needs and at the discretion of staff and providers
