Hartford HealthCare Rehabilitation Network is the premier rehabilitation provider in Connecticut. We provide rehabilitation services across the continuum - acute care hospitals, long term care facilities, sub-acute rehabilitation, homecare, outpatient centers, and in community settings such as senior centers, work sites, and schools and colleges. We offer over 30 outpatient locations with a variety of specialists, including oncology, women’s health, sports medicine, physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech language, we are known for our commitment to high quality, customer focused outcomes.

Job Summary
We are seeking a Physical Therapist (PT) for our Orthopedic Associates of Hartford (OAH) office in Rocky Hill that has a passion for patient care in the area of outpatient orthopedics. This is a great opportunity to work with a diverse patient population that offers a wonderful team atmosphere with experienced clinicians and some of the best orthopedic physicians, nurses and physician assistants in New England! The OAH Rocky Hill location is a state of the art facility that opened in January 2019 that offers outpatient ambulatory surgery, physical therapy and physician consultations/follow-up appointments. 

Therapy services include rehabilitation after joint replacement or other surgery, sports injuries, spine or extremity pain with limitation of function.

The Physical Therapist (PT) administers medically prescribed Physical Therapy treatments to patients. The Physical Therapist (PT) independently evaluates patient’s level of function, determines treatment strategies, and delivers and/or delegates Physical Therapy services that identify, prevent, remediate, and rehabilitate acute or prolonged physical dysfunction or pain.

This role encompasses evaluation skills and techniques, analysis of patients, and therapeutic application of physical and chemical agents, prescription of exercise and other procedures to maximize the patient's functional independence.

Qualifications

·         Bachelors, Masters or Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).

·         Open to new graduates

·         Previous experience as a Physical Therapist preferred

·         Current State of CT Physical Therapy license required or active temporary license at time of hire
