Summary:
Uses the therapeutic application of physical and chemical agents, exercise, and other procedures for the treatment and prevention of illness and injury; evaluates patient’s abilities and needs; establishes plan of care and goals. Objective: achieve the highest possible level of functional independence for each patient - restore function and decrease potential for further disability. Population served based on scope of services in the department
Responsibilities:
Thoroughly evaluates and sets plan of care to meet patient’s identified treatment needs; this includes establishing objective, measurable and functional patient goals. Implements and updates treatment program to maximal effectiveness.
Effectively oversees patient care delivery by assistants
Demonstrates competency and is proficient in the use of REDOC for all outpatient documentation needs , Demonstrates competency and is proficient in use of CERNER for inpatient documentation needs and outpt scheduling
Completes all documentation within established time frames and according to regulatory guidelines. Accurately enters patient charges/provides patient billing information to office staff.
Involves patient/family in establishing treatment plan and accommodates for individual needs (cultural differences, language, etc.)
Participates in educational in-services, meetings and performance improvement activities as requested by Director.

Maintains all department equipment and treatment areas in a clean and safe manner.
Exhibits critical thinking skills and responds to situations/issues as appropriate

Work Shift: We are currently looking for weekday per diem availability onThe mandated work requirement for the position is at least one weekend day a month with a preference for weekday availability as well.
