About BROC Therapy:
Our Physical Therapy Centers offer specialized physical therapy services to patients in direct coordination with our physicians' protocols. Summary:
The nature of the duties is to provide physical therapy services to patients referred to the Physical Therapy & Hand Center including evaluation and assessment, design of treatment programs, implementation and supervision of treatment protocols, and educational services. The physical therapist treats patients in a caring, warm and professional manner.
Duties:
· Evaluates and assesses patients referred to the Physical Therapy & Hand Center.
· Formulates specific plans of treatment and goals for each patient relative to their individualized physical therapy needs.
· Implements the physical therapy services defined in the patient care plans after receiving physical approval.
· Supervises, as needed, the administration of physical therapy services by physical therapy assistants and aides, athletic trainers, and exercise physiologists.
· Participates in the plan of treatment reviews, patient case review conferences, patient assessment and reassessments.
· Ensures the timely completion of all required documentation of patient care activities.
· Provides the necessary educational services.
· Assists the Director as requested with the following tasks (not limited to): Utilization Review, Quality Assurance, Program Evaluation; Infection Control, and Safety Committee activities.
· Develops and maintains relationships with physicians and other referral sources to maximize patient care, develop new programs, and grow therapy volume.
· Participates in Physical Therapy & Hand Center in-service activities.
· Supervises physical therapy students.
· Maintains inventory of linen, clinical, and janitorial supplies. Restocks workstations and exam rooms
· Keeps all instruments, exam rooms, and exercise areas clean, disinfected, and orderly at all times.
· Understands and follows all OSHA and HIPAA rules at all times.
· Performs other related duties as assigned and serves in whatever other capacity deemed necessary for successful completion of the mission and goals of BROC.
Qualifications:
· Must hold a current and valid license under the applicable state laws to practice physical therapy.
· Must be a graduate of an accredited physical therapy curriculum.
· Must have successfully completed Basic Cardiac Life Support training.
· Must maintain a current CPR card.
· Ability to pass a drug screening
