Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Physical Therapists in providing treatment that improves patient mobility, relieves pain, and prevents or lessons physical disabilities of patients
- Performs a variety of tasks as well as provides part of a patient’s treatment which may include helping patients exercise, use medical equipment, give messages, traction and ultra sound.
- Records the patient’s response to treatment and reports the outcome of each treatment to the physical therapist.
- Data/records for the designated department areas to include orthopedic support and patient.
Requirements:
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Associate Degree program.
- Licensure: APTA or state licensure
- Experience: 1-2 years of full-time experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant
- Current BLS certification
- Life Guard Certification will be needed for this role. If expired, Spectrum Healthcare Resources will provide financial reimbursement with proof of course/payment.
